This safe meets my very tough requirements and goes well beyond them. it was very simple to setup and the bio metric works 100% of the time. This is great buy and will make your items safe and secure.

This safe is excellent. The biometric scanner stores readings from multiple angles so it rarely doesn’t open, it’s reliable, easy to open and close, has a large amount of interior space and it’s simple to silence the sound effects (except opening the safe. Fortunately, I have no idea how difficult it is to steal guns from.

Had to toss 2 pistol safe from a well know ammunition company because they stopped working. Picked up this one even though there were not many reviews. It was very east to set up. The biometric sensor works well (it will store 100 fingerprints) and I can fit 3 pistols in it. So far so nice. I am hoping battery life will be decent.

This safe is definitely top of the line when it comes to securing your firearms. Setup was easy and it can hold two handguns and a few extra magazines. Just a word of advice: do NOT leave items sitting on top of this safe. I had an issue where it wouldn’t open properly. I sometimes left my laundry or something else on top of it to “hide it in plain site” but it will cause the safe to not open like it should. Other than that, it’s excellent!

Simple to set up. It has opened every time whether I use the biometric or button option. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that it’s very loud when it opens and would easily be heard by an intruder. Otherwise, It’s a sturdy and consistent safe.

Overall, great safe I would definitely recommend. I give 4 stars not 5 because there are some instances where the fingerprint scanner can be touchy. It seems to work smoothly bout 9 times out of 10. If it messes up, I just quickly type in the pin immediately because it’s faster to recover that way rather than wait and re-enter the finger scan. (EDIT), I recorded the same finger several times in various angles and now it picks up my fingerprint more consistently. It takes about the same amount of time to enter the 4 digit PIN versus the fingerprint option, so either choice I don’t mind. The backup key is an added bonus of security that I like, I keep on my car keys because I will always have it on me no matter where I go. Plenty of room inside. I have 1 taurus compact pistol with combo streamlight laser on it, and one loaded magazine that fits beside it. On the lid, there is plenty of room in the pouch, I store 3 17 round magazines! quite happy with this safe I love it. 1 gun with attachments and 4 loaded magazines and still plenty of room for more mags or an additional gun. And for the price, I feel like this is the best well-rounded option out there considering the other options for biometric fingerprint safes.

Recently returned a safe from another company because biometric reader was unreliable.Not so with this safe, programmed several fingers. And tested like a zillion times and it has worked flawlessly , seems to be very solidly built.Will update if anything changes but right now I love it.

I bought this safe so I wouldn’t have to open and close my larger stand up safe constantly. I need something for quick access to store my conceal carry and my larger caliber pistol I have for home defense, I am able to store both my shield 9mm and Sig 45 with extra magazines and small flashlight with some extra room. I have it mounted on it’s side so I’m limited how much I can store so that it doesn’t all fall out after opening. I may modify down the road so I can attach guns using velcro. Setup was easy, and it operates flawlessly. That was my biggest concern, safety and quick access! I made some modifications mounting, I drilled larger holes so I could use larger bolts instead of smaller screws provided. The only complaint I have is location of batteries and closure cover, with my larger fingers I found it difficult to access. I also found battery cover to be flimsy plastic, disappointing for such a robust and build safe. Fingers crossed the closure tab does not break off. I like the inside light, although I wish it had settings for brightness. The safe operates without error, and it opens fast. I love it, I have full intention of getting another soon.

Initially latch wouldn’t open, but turns out it was because two pieces of felt had to be removed before it would work. The company was great and called to check on my issues and were just wonderful. This is a great safe and really nice quality. Recommend highly.

I Love it very simple to program opens quickly love the light inside stores my 9mm and this is truly best gun safe on the market, i added fluorescent green glow paint dots under my numbers really nice, dots glow in dark if need to open and get to my gun quickly dots makes it a lot easier to see and operate in the dark.Loooking forward to buying again as a gift.

This thing is well-built. The door is spring loaded and opens in about one second after putting my finger on the reader. You do have to press any button to wake up the finger print pad before it will read.

This is good and easy to set up… 1 star removed for the lid opening slowly. I hope I never need to use it in an emergency as the lid hesitates, opens slowly, and doesn’t pop all the way up.

I love it. The last safe I bought was a PIA to program. At first I thought I was traveling along the that same road. As I was mumbling frustrations I stopped and told myself,”read the directions again.” Well, I did and proved I don’t read directions as well as I thought. I went thru the instructions again and the safe performed perfectly. I must say, just what I needed. The programming is actually spot on. The only con is I cannot find where to register the safe for warrenty purposes. I looked at all documentation and the website, no joy. Cheers.

Setup in less than five minutes. Took several images of my print…works every time. Plenty of room for two 4″ barrel revolvers, jewelry, documents. Absolutely flawless piece of work. Make sure you have room behind the safe the lid hydraulics are powerful it opens quick and will ding a wall.Now where do you stash keys to a safe..

Keys got shut in the safe as soon as it was opened. I reached out to Viking customer service and provided all of the info they requested and they shot over a spare key to recover the original keys. If the safe is half as nice as the service it will be jamb up. Will do more business with them for sure.

I’m pleased overall with this. Very simple to set the pin and register fingerprints. It is loud when it opens. You can turn off the beeps but with how loud if it, the beeps aren’t the problem when opening it.It will comfortably store a full size pistol and a couple of magazines and a light or a subcompact and a full size. The photo shows a p365xl with a 12 round magazine and a spare 17 round along with a CZ Shadow 2 with a spare 19 round mag. Both guns have a red dot. The p365 is the sig optic and the CZ has a HOLOSUN 507C. This will work as my bedside gun but a little more room would have been nice

The Viking safe is an great security option for your valuables. It is has some weight to it and is very solid. The safe is sized perfectly for safe storage of what I bought it for. It has 3 options for opening – biometric, keypad, and key. If you lose any or all of those options by unintentional loss of key, loss of code, or battery death- the manufacturer is stellar to work with( don’t ask me how I know)
